27. end-point function: root element

This tutorial is obsolete. Please, use the new one.

Description

For each location x in the argument location-set, end-point adds a location of type point to the result location-set. That point represents the end point of location x.




Root element
In case of root the container of the end-point is the root itself and the index is the number of location children of the root.
XPointer: xpointer(end-point(/))

     Text in the first element BBB.</BBB>

  • X marks point (zero width)
  • This style marks the container node.
  • This style marks resulting locations.
  • X marks collapsed range (zero width)
